I have a DVR for connected to cameras for security surveillance how can I connect this to my wireless network.?

Question by sndydee: I have a DVR for related to cameras for protection surveillance how can I connect this to my wireless network.?
The DVR has a ethernet port and a usb knowledge port. It is in the basement so I do not want to operate a cable.

Is the DVR accessible by IP handle? Or is the "ethernet" port only for firmware updates, etc. (a support port only)?

If the DVR is available by IP, how do you plan the IP handle into it? If youi know, and have already done it, then you can think about incorporating some wireless customer box (or a router running in customer mode), and have it connect to your major router. From there, your PCs can entry the DVR.
Even now, without realizing if this DVR can in fact connect about IP to some Computer software program, tough to say if you can actually do this....
