I hate to just fill the dump or thrift retailers with these kinds of previous pals, so I would like to set up a college video studio with cameras and DVR set up in classroom.PS fyi- We do not have cable at our college so the Hd issue would not count!

it would be practically not possible to reconfigure a tivo or any brand name dvr to use as a security dvr
