I am searching for a pointer to some instructions or personalized knowledge that would aid me in setting up a program that I could use to keep an eye on the youngsters in the play space. I have an added laptop computer, wireless network, Linux experience. I can buy possibly a camera and microphone for the laptop. I imagine there are some instructions out there that advocate video clip and audio gadgets that are compatible with Linux and some kind of server application that would let my wife and I to logon to that box from one more pc in the home and select up that a/v feed when we desired to see and hear what was heading on (floors and walls seem to effectively soundproofed in this new residence).
Keywords and phrases that I am utilizing to search (Linux, keep an eye on, Audio, Video, security) are of course coming up with the incorrect stuff.
There is a place I could put this and get two video clip feeds so that is desirable also.
I would expect the Linux server to be able to stream one thing that Windows Media Player could use.
