I want to place a security digital camera on my front porch so that I can see who is knocking ahead of going to my door. I just want one thing easy. It does not have to file on to a DVD or DVR or anything at all like that. I just want to hook it up to an old televison set so that I can see who's at the door.
And I do not want to have to get the digital camera down to recharge it both so wireless is possibly out. I just want to put it out on the porch and not have to actually fuddle with it once more.
Finest remedy:
Remedy by screwdriver
Most security cameras function off a 12Volt power provide supply which desires to be nicely regulated and rated for continuous use.
The output is standard Video which can be related to the Av input of a Tv (or to the Scart socket with an adapter), not all old Television sets have these inputs obtainable.
If you have a spare scart or Av input accessible on your lounge Television set then you can connect the camera to that and just choose the relevant input from your remote to see who's at the door.
Do not neglect all cameras need some light to perform, so the watch from your front door will require lights.
The finest spot to buy them is from a specialist supplier or an electronics shop. Theres a lot of rubbish low cost imports on eBay.
