Has anybody tried peephole cameras? Do they work well?

I am referring to cameras that you set on the peephole of your door that search exterior. They can be good for security.

I just wonder how nicely they operate as far as getting capable to see nearly anything. And I didn't uncover any that had a motion sensor, so it seems like you'd be scrolling through hours of footage to discover nearly anything of use.

If you can get 1 with a broad angle lens and very low lux they perform fine. You can connect it to your computer and use motion detection computer software to have it only record when one thing is in front of the cam.
