I am attempting to update a router for my employer. It really is a small pizza store and the owner lives across the street (it's possible thirty-forty yards MAX). He wishes to be capable to pickup a powerful signal from his business' router at house on his Macbook. He's presently using a Netgear wireless-g and is acquiring weak/no signal at residence. The only devices linked to the router are the company's credit card machine (wired connection) and his laptop computer (wireless connection). Also, he desires to use a wired connection into the router for his safety cameras so he can see them on the internet from everywhere on his Mac. What router really should he buy? I will also want help with port forwarding (the safety cameras require port forwarding to operate), which I am not quite acquainted with. If any person can lead me in the proper direction and give me some important input on this, it would be drastically appreciated.
Many thanks and have a good day!

Linksys WRT54 and operate the Tomato firmware. With that you can turn up the electrical power of the radio signal so he can get a signal at his residence. Make sure it's a secure wireless connection (password and hide the SSID) to minimize unwanted targeted traffic.
