I am presently in physical security, safety guard to be precise and I am making an attempt to more my training. Cisco provides items that deal with Protection techniques e.g access cards, cameras and so on. I am pondering outdoors of the box (Police foundations which a lot of security guards use to advance in whatever occupation) and heading for a Cisco program which I think would set me around the leading if attained. So which discipline do I consider?
Cisco Protection, Voice or wireless? Sp operations? I have no thought, what would give me the fundamentals in bodily protection methods. Nevertheless I am positive that I would have to consider the entry stage IP and networking. Would any comptia courses assist?

From you description I don't consider the Cisco Security track is the way you want to go. Cisco Security includes network based safety like Firewalls, Network Intrusion Detection Techniques, Network Intrusion Prevention Techniques, VPN Options, and so on.... These are all securing the network on the 'Network Level' not on the Physical Degree. I'm certain the Cisco CCNA Safety briefly goes more than Physical Security but it is going to be 99% Network centered. Which is good if that's what you want.
If you want to get into Network Administration, Network Engineer, Network Analyst then Cisco is the way to go. If you want to keep in the security area that you are at the moment in then Cisco is not they way to go.
CompTIA Security+ will educate you the essentials about Network Secuirty if you want to try out it out and see if you like it.
