Is there somebody monitoring it 24/seven? Motion sensors? (i can see tiny camera at the top) Or is there some thing below the street that perception the fat of a auto and can make a green light for it. Or is it one thing else?

some just operate on timers. some use detection loops in pavement to perception vehicles and a computer to modify site visitors flow. some have cameras to observe for red light runners and just keep an eye on site visitors,
